Welcome To The HSFT Community
This is one of the by-products I’ve loved about starting this brand; bringing like-minded people together and sharing the message that my Dad shared with us. Have Some Fun Today.
And the affiliate program is just another extension of that for me. When I started Have Some Fun Today over 4 years ago, it was to honor the mantra my father said as he parted company with anyone. My Dad lived his life with love and intention. And through my brand, HSFT, I’ve given life to those words again.
I hope you’ll join us and in sharing Have Some Fun Today.
Live and Love & Always, HSFT,
HAVE SOME FUN TODAY - Happy Friday! We're always talkin' bout finding the FUN in every single day. What that means to each of us might be radically different, but what it means to ALL of us is simply finding a moment or two to enjoy your life! Find joy, find happiness, find FUN.
So here's our Friday FUNday list of ways to grab life by the horns and Have Some Fun Today. Any additions to the list?
1) Leave Work Early
We're gonna start with the obvious. Working for a living can suck sometimes and there's nothing like a weekend to boost your mood. If you're working from home or raising babies then knock off a wee early. Five minutes or an hour; can you start the weekend a smidge before "Closing Time"? That's FUN....
2) Happy Hour
Maybe it's meeting some work friends at the bar when you wrap the day or maybe it's a glass of rosè on your back deck while you extend the kids "screen time" long enough to enjoy. Or maybe it's both! Whatever your pleasure, kick off the weekend with a celebratory "Cheers" and let the FUN begin...
3) A Nap
Some days require a respite from the madness. And by madness we mean whatever chaos you are corralling, organizing or otherwise ignoring. You're like Wonder Woman with the magic gold cuffs, deflecting the bullets from this way and that. It's exhausting. A power nap or a nice long snooze, some times that's exactly what we need to refill the tanks.
4) Shopping Anyone?
Maybe it's the blowout at Saks Fifth Ave or maybe it's the half off sale at Goodwill. This weekend through Monday, (Aug 11th - Aug 14th) We highly recommend the Have Some Fun Today online SALE of 40% all women's tees and fleece! However you like to get your retail therapy on, there's nothing more FUN than a few new treats to make you feel good.
5) Mother Nature
FUN can be the beauty of the Great Outdoors. The beach, the mountains, the lake, a wooded trail path. There's something restorative and grounding about finding joy from the natural beauty around us.
We get caught up in the "don't eat this" and "you must eat that" rhetoric and yes, we're all about healthy eating for a healthy life. Healthy food can be delicious. So find something delicious, heathy or otherwise, and savor every bite. Give your taste buds a party. Don't rush it or eat too fast. Just chew with intention, taste the flavor and have FUN with your Food!
Music is magic. It can shift our mood, bring us back to a place in time, make us happy, even sad. Music is transformative. So, find that one song... THE song that puts you in a place of FUN and turn it up! Sing from the top of your lungs, recite every lyric or clap your hands to every beat. Have your own mini-concert, but dammit, make it FUN.
8) Call A Friend
There's always that one friend who makes you laugh and makes your heart happy after you talk to them. You know that no matter what the subject, you're going to hang up that phone call and have a smile on your face and feel good. Yeah, call them.
We talk a lot about endorphins and improved mood when you break a sweat. But how about feeling fantastic and strong in your body. It's FUN to feel sexy, confident and strong! Get to the gym, go to a class, take a run. But sweat, baby.
Oh the places you COULD go! The World, lovelies, is a great, big beautiful place. Go see it. Nothing more FUN than exploring new places, learning new cultures and seeing something totally different than your own backyard.
11) Get A Hobby
There's that saying about Idle hands... Find something that your passionate about or that interests you and make time for it. Stamp collecting, knitting, rock climbing, thrifting. We're more interesting and FUN as people when we have something more to talk about than our families and our jobs.
12) Fall in Love
You can be happily married or sexy and single, but falling in love is something we do over and over again. Even if you're with the same person for many years. Cultivate love by doing loving things and find those little nooks and crannies of your partner that maybe you forgot. Date nights and great for re-discovering your love. And if you're single, be open of heart and new possibility. Love is out there for everyone.
13) Do Something Unexpected
You'll never know what kind of FUN you can fall into when you just pick B instead of A or just go left instead of right. There are so many different ways to choose life, each and everyday. Change is good and you have to be willing to do something out of your norm, every once in a while, and just see what happens. The possibilities are endless...
There is something about making something; food, art, music, stories. The act of creation is powerful. It returns us to ourselves when we turn ourselves over to the process of making something. Glue sticks or wooden spoons, cameras or paint brushes, it matters not what the outcome is... just create.
15) Love Yourself
This is sometimes the hardest one for all of us but the true way to find FUN in everyday is to love yourself enough to trust yourself and to believe in who you are and what your made of. There's power in loving yourself and that's when the FUN begins.
16) Go Exploring
It could be your backyard, your own hometown or a city in a faraway land. Just say yes to an adventure that includes looking for things you've never seen before. And experienced HSFT'er will tell you, the exploration is half the FUN.
When we step outside ourselves and do something for someone else, completely unprompted or without an attachment to the outcome, we find a greater joy than we can ever imagine. That's really having FUN...
18) Read A Book
There are adventures to be had in the pages or words of a book. A kindle or an actual hold-in-your-hands book is an escape from the world around us, and sometimes, that's exactly what we need.
We all have memories of fantastic, remarkable and beautiful things in our lives. Stop and remember every once and a while. Look at old pictures, call an old friend. Remembering the times we had "some fun today" is a good reminder that we're still FUN.
What's your "go-to" for FUN.... Comment and share and help our list grow...

HAVE SOME FUN TODAY - We've just shifted into a time of seasonal re-birth, all things shiny & new, and green. It's Spring! The world around us is buzzing with growth, but for some of us, 2017 still has us stuck. Maybe we've missed the boat on some of those well-intended resolutions, and we're not feeling the love of the "New Year/New You". Let's not forget we're only four months into the year and there is still plenty of time left to kick it into gear and make some positive changes.
These 3 tips are Game Changers because they'll have a powerful impact on your life with minimal effort. And the best thing is, they're all free. You don't need to spend a dime to make a powerful change and mix it up in your life.
1) Practice Meditation
You don't need to look far to find countless articles, studies and research touting the benefits of meditation. It's no longer just a new-agey thing that yogis do, it's been put to the scrutiny of scientists and doctors alike who have discovered it has a profound effect on our bodies and our brain. We're big believers of meditation here at HSFT, and most of us practice some form of meditation on a regular basis. Whether you want to focus your intention on one specific outcome or just release your mind from it's hamster wheel of thoughts and stress, meditation has a big payoff.
It's known to lower stress levels, increase our attention levels, and actually alter the brain by increasing grey matter and specific brain functions. Here's the best part about meditation; it's a powerful tool that is accessible to anyone and it doesn't cost a thing. Start in a comfortable space. Close your eyes. Begin by focusing on your breathing. You don't need to sit there for hours, just start with five minutes. You'll be amazed at how quickly it goes. You can find some very cool resources on line for meditation like this one at UCLA Mindfulness Awareness Research Center where you can download several different guided mediations to get you started.
2) Develop A Ritual
Forming a new habit can be as challenging as breaking a bad one but a ritual goes one step further. Blogger Daisy from Simplicity Relished describes it as this, "Rituals are simply habits imbued with meaning..." The beautiful thing about infusing rituals into our life is how they give us a go-to familiarity that is like a rhythmic touchstone in our day. Maybe you already have a ritual; morning mediation, 3-mile run, prayer, journaling time at night, a walk in nature. Whether you know it or not, you may have already carved out your own, but a ritual is personal and it's something you do for you.
"So...you think about the things you are grateful for, and the people that you love, and the things you need to do in a day to thrive..." - HSFT Founder Stephanie Taormina on her daily ritual.
HSFT founder Stephanie Taormina talked about her own daily rituals that help to keep her centered and grounded in her busy life in a recent HSFT vlog episode on HSFT's YouTube Channel. "It's always good every morning to take some time before you start your day. I like to do my runes, they're really amazing. They are these very old Viking symbols and they are these little discs have symbols on them. So every morning I like to come here and say thanks and regroup my thoughts and my goals. So you kinda think about the things you are grateful for, and the people that you love, and the things you need to do in a day to thrive. It's a journey."
3) The Power of Positive Thinking (And a Fab t-shirt To Remind You)
There is no shortage of negativity in our world; your own personal world and the great big one we live in. We get bombarded pretty frequently with negative thoughts, actions, events, or even others, in the course of day. It can be overwhelming and difficult not to feel the effects of all those negative vibrations. We're pretty good at filling our own heads with negativity already. And then there's what exists around us every day.
That's when you have to just STOP. Remove the source of negativity. Don't read the news or scroll through Facebook if it upsets you. Don't take that call from a friend if it's more negativity.
START by having SOME FUN TODAY. You're gonna miss the beautiful parts of your life if you keep yourself focused only on the bad stuff. There really is a great, big, beautiful world out there full of pretty amazing people. Choose Positive! Choose that world and choose FUN over the "everything is going to hell" mentality. Shift one negative thought to a positive and you will add some much needed color to your canvas. We highly suggest wearing a really cool t-shirt just to remind you. C'mon... Have Some Fun Today, you know you wanna.

You Like Us, You Really Like Us!
HAVE SOME FUN TODAY - It started with four words on a t-shirt; words that were said by a late father to his family. What happened on the way to creating a legacy of a father's love was the birth of a grassroots brand. A company with soul. Along our journey to making cool tees, luxe totes and amazing gifts, we discovered a community of people who "get it". You got it! You got the vibe and the essence of Have Some Fun Today.
Your Daily Pep Talk
Those four words are so much more than our cool t-shirts. It's now become a mindset. A philosophy, a little slip of paper in the fortune cookie of life. HAVE SOME FUN TODAY. It's a call to action to make your life FUN, even in the most mundane or challenging of moments. It's a reminder to push yourself outside of the "the box" and see something you've never seen before. It's the simplest of things but the impact is profound. The Law of Attraction is pretty basic. You get what you give. Why not try putting positivity and possibility and FUN into your world today? Why not Have Some Fun Today?
It's All How You Look At It
Not long ago in our studio, from a brainstorming sessions about HSFT, our founder Stephanie Taormina came up with a simple phrase that encapsulates perfectly what this is all about. A Brand With Soul. She couldn't possibly know that a vision of a painting would turn into all this two years later. But this is a brand with depth and connection. We're interested in changing the way we look at life, not just selling a t-shirt. We're pushing a mindset. And that doesn't cost a thing.
It's All About You
Yeah, we make great t-shirts, totes, and gifts emblazoned with those four words, but it's become so much more. You've joined us on our path. You've shared your HSFT stories, your experiences and why you love the brand so much. You have become part of us and that is truly inspiring.
As we grow and expand the business, so too, does our community. More amazing people are becoming part of our Collective Inspiration. We want everyone to be part of that. Our Community is a beautiful patchwork quilt of all these HSFT people, like you, and experiences that are re-defining what we are everyday. You could say it's taken on a life and breath of it's own.
There's Always Room For More
We love what our HSFT Community has become. Haven't jumped in yet? Know someone that should? Share The Vibe. It's simple, really. Be Adventurous. Smile More. Be Grateful. Be Confident. Spread Happiness. Have. Some. Fun. Today. You can buy our luxe t-shirts, cool trucker hats other HSFT gear, but the magic of HSFT is that that it's free. #SharingHSFT
Written by HSFT writer and blogger Rebecca Doubek who believes in the Law of Attraction....
It may just look like a t-shirt, but at HSFT it's also a state of mind. HAVE SOME FUN TODAY is emblazoned on all of our fabulous shirts and accessories and it's the guiding force behind everything we do at HSFT. So how can a t-shirt make your day?
See The Light
Life can be pretty intense. Sometimes we need a reminder to lighten up. And yeah, there are always gonna be good days and bad days, this we know. But finding a little ray of light or some FUN, even in the darkest of days, is what brings hope. Hope is good. Life is short. HAVE SOME FUN TODAY!
Your Daily Affirmation
Pay the water bill, pick up the dry cleaning, HAVE SOME FUN TODAY. Go to work, go to school, HAVE SOME FUN TODAY. Like it's your job. Think of it as the string around your index finger or the reminder alert on your phone. Your daily pep talk. Studies show making a visual and concrete connection to positive affirmations can be hugely impactful on our stress levels and improve the way we see ourselves in the world. Try this: Pull on your HSFT original tee or the HSFT slouchy tee and stand in the mirror. See what it says? HAVE SOME FUN TODAY. Do that. Rinse. Repeat. You're welcome.
You Say You Want a Revolution
It's a philosophy, an ideology. HSFT started a brand with mindset and challenges us to see the bigger picture. What could you do if you broke free of what you were supposed to do? What would it mean to live boldly and without fear? You never know what you're going to find around the corner, who your going to meet, or what unexpected gift the universe is going to bring. Our brand is so much more than just amazing t-shirts (and other luxe goods and accessories!) but when you embrace the mindset, you shift your thinking. You begin to open up a pathway to seeing the world a different way. We think that's pretty damn good for a t-shirt.

Have Some Fun Today is a lifestyle brand that’s got soul. The roots of our company began in the mantra that our founder’s late father used to say to his kids when they set out for a new day. Have Some Fun Today. Those words stuck. They set in motion a mindset and a philosophy that HSFT founder Stephanie Rado Taormina never forgot. And after his passing, she decided it was a mindset and philosophy she wanted to share with the world.
“I think it probably makes her feel closer to her Dad,” says Stephanie’s mom, Elaine Rado, of her daughter’s company. “Joe always encouraged all of them and I think when her Dad died, she just realized what a great thing that saying was.”
The Humble Beginnings of Barbies and Nuns
Stephanie is the oldest of five siblings. Her mother says it was clear from the beginning that her first born daughter was creative. “She was always an interior decorator and fashion designer,” she says.
“Barbie World” took up a large portion of the basement where Stephanie and her three sisters could dream up anything they wanted. It’s no wonder those early days of creative expression and playing with Barbies would lead to her working in the fashion industry, becoming an artist and an interior designer.
“She was always creative, from the time she was little. I can remember the nuns at school telling me she was always day dreaming. She was a good student, but she was always in another place,” she remembers. “She entered an art contest and she won. She did beautiful art work, even back then.”
What was it like raising five children?
“Juggling!” she says, laughing. “It was always a balancing act.” Her four daughters and son kept her on the go.
All five of the Rado children were encouraged to be individually expressive and creative. “…. as long as they weren’t doing anything wrong,” she says with a twinkle in her eye. Elaine says the creative thinking runs in the family.
Elaine credits her own parents with instilling in her a strong work ethic, which she thinks her children have inherited. Her parents both worked long hours, her dad working 7 days a week. She was raised the only girl in an Italian family with three brothers, and was expected to help with the cleaning and the chores. “My kids have picked up those values. They are not afraid of work,” she says proudly.
She and her husband Joe were six months shy of their 50th wedding anniversary when he passed a few years ago. She says it was after he died when she realized the impact he’d had on so many people. A former high school teacher and wrestling coach, he served as a mentor to many kids. Weekly steak dinners at Coach Rado’s house with members of the wrestling team was not unusual. Many of his former wrestlers and students came to pay respects at his funeral and told her how important he’d been in their lives. “I understood it then,” she says, realizing the legacy he’d left behind.
A Reminder of a Father’s Love
It’s those four little words, Have Some Fun Today, that daughter Stephanie is making part of her father’s legacy, too. He wanted his kids to find the fun in life, see the joy in the everyday. Life is what you make it, so make it FUN!
“My husband would also say, “If you are going to do something, do it right the first time. The kids have learned that, too. And he liked to have fun!” she says with a big smile. “But you already know that…”
