The Magic of Believing in the Season

"It's that time of year, when the world falls in love..."

HAVE SOME FUN TODAY - Leave it to an old Christmas carol to wrap up the beauty of December. Every year, we fall in love with the Holiday Season and all its trimmings. It's a gorgeous assault to our senses, with charming sparkle and twinkle, sweet sounds of years past, divine smells that trigger familiar memories, and the promise of something new and magical.

What is it about the holidays that gives us a little buzz, our heads spinning with delight at the prospect of something extraordinary. We're giddy at the thought of what's possible and dazzled by pretty presents wrapped in silver and red paper.

It's the one time of year we are encouraged, and even expected, to close our eyes and spread our arms out wide and just fall back into whatever beautiful experience might be there to catch us. We're taught to believe that anything can happen. Miracles are to be expected. And that's the MAGIC.

Sleigh Bells Ring

Even the most skeptical and pessimistic transform into that of a wide-eyed child frantic with excitement. They Believe! They hear the bells, they sing the songs, and they basque in the glory of beloved tradition and holiday magic.

It's like being on the threshold of falling in love. That time when you're high on the romance and the possibility of what's next. It's the skin-tingling feeling of something about to happen. It's powerful and transformative. That's the promise of Christmas.

Yes, Virginia, You Should Have Some Fun Today

And that, lovelies, is the magic we need to carry with us all year long. The possibility of magic happening every single day. That's exactly what Have Some Fun Today is all about. Take each day as it comes and sprinkle a little of that "anything is possible" state of mind. That's our legacy of a father's love who wanted to make sure his kids didn't miss out on the beauty of life. You don't need a 9-foot-Fraser Fir with twinkle lights and a man in a red winter suit to usher in that beautiful idea that something extraordinary is just around the corner. Just be open to the magic that's there every single day and Have Some Fun Today.
