A new phase of motherhood is upon me now, with a daughter just finishing her first year away at college and my younger daughter with one year left in High School. I am embarking on watching my children practice what they have learned from me. Knowing that the love I have for them is powerful, yet knowing too that it is coming to the time when they fly away, a little at first, to test their own knowledge and limitations. Then over time they will feel the confidence to fly away completely and our mother daughter bonds of love will expand to allow them to be the women they are meant to be as I contain my full heart keeping the stars in place as Maya suggests.
