Everything begins with a thought. We all know half the battle in anything in life is how we speak to ourself internally.
When you set goals to change your life; besides the doing, there is the thinking and the self talk. These components have to be in line with your goals because if you truly believe in yourself, your self talk will support your goals and be the force behind your daily motivation to get the tasks done.
For example: On a typical Steph day, I get downstairs to have my morning coffee which for me is a bulletproof blend of brain octane oil and a dab of ghee. It's my go to for my morning routine when I do my social media posts for Have Some Fun Today and begin to psyche myself up for the goals of the day. It's that self talk that tells me to stop wasting unnecessary time on social media and get my butt out the door to the gym to start my day right.
For a lot of people that can go other ways: you could make excuses for not going to the gym, or you could be telling yourself you will start tomorrow. Both conversations will not be very helpful when February rolls around and you've barely begun all the healthy new habits you swore you were going to make in 2019.
Remember the book The Secret? The phenomenon of thinking and acting the way you want your life to be? I think the point of all this positive thinking and talking is to create an energy and habits that will propel your life towards health and success. So, no matter if each specific goal is actually reached or not, when your whole vibe and actions are flowing in a positive mindset, the end result overall in your life will be one of growth, capability and personal success.
So a trick for you if you have struggled with talking to yourself in a positive way: be conscious of what you are thinking and saying. Take note if you find yourself thinking negative thoughts, saying negative things about yourself out loud, or posting negative comments on social media. All are a no no in my book. It is when we are conscious of the energy we contain and put out that we can start to change it. Remember, you attract what you put out there.....
No victims, no complainers, just observers of life; learning everyday and ready to enjoy this life we are priveledged to have.

Ok, so it's now getting into January 2019. We proclaimed our goals and now its time to dig down and start the work. This is the hard part.
For some of us it's cold and dreary and all the burst of ideas and energy have gone out the window just trying to stay warm.
How do we stay positive and focused when this happens?
Quiet time, meditation or any mindfulness practice is helpful and actually essential to staying in the zone.
Each day when I am finished the days responsibilities, I am trying to focus on the positive things that happened. The great ideas, the inspiring feelings, and holding that energy in so I can use it the next day. Its a very mental exercise and I find what feeds my soul is reading anything motivational and inspiring.
This is also where the things I design and make for Have Some Fun Today come into play. It's that little reminder to have fun which brings me back to my goal to live each day with joy. Something I wear everyday is the rose gold mini pendant crown necklace. Its petite and simple design reminds me of my mantra as well as all the other items in the line.
Its also good to keep a journal. It doesnt have to be everyday, but sort of a checklist of what you're up to and how you are progressing or even deciding to change some goals. You can create a loose structure of the energy you allow around you to keep moving forward. No bad vibes, no bad habits that are allowed to pervade your daily life.
Set up a little reward system subconsciously, if you get to here, you can do this. Or if you achieve this, you can do this for yourself. There are so many little incentives and checks you can create by putting in the mental and physical energy that they become habits and guides.

A Lightbulb Moment That Created A Lifestyle
I started my brand, Have Some Fun Today, 3-and-half-years ago, inspired by something my late father always said. I’ve created an entire company from those four words; a company about positivity, finding joy and being mindful everyday. I took that sweet sentiment my father said to me, and anyway else as they would leave his presence, “Have some fun today” and created a mantra for my life and a lifestyle brand that reinforces living and appreciating life.
And as I began this journey to building a brand and creating this business, I’ve tried to live that mindset and that mantra. Last week in the blog, I shared how my challenges with chronic pain have made that more difficult some days. But I truly have tried to embody what I think Have Some Fun Today really means and what it stands for.
Your Vibe Really Does Attract Your Tribe
The beautiful thing I’ve encountered over the last three years are all the incredible people who have taken HSFT and made it their own. And they’ve embodied the HSFT mindset and it means something a little different to everyone. It’s connected me to all these amazing people and truly created a community. Many of them have become friends. And what I’ve realized as the path continues for me and HSFT, is that this grassroots company I started has set the tone for my vibe. And so yeah, my vibe has attracted my tribe.
And oh what a tribe! From CEO’s to artists, to Moms and models, and every beautiful thing in between. What an eclectic, eccentric and fantastic tribe I’ve watched emerge and circle around my “brand with soul.” Have Some Fun Today has connected me to some of the most interesting people I’ve ever met.
What You Get Is What You Give
The Law of Attraction is pretty simple. What you think, feel, speak, and otherwise generate, whether from your mouth or from your brain, is what you are putting out into the universe. And the universe will respond by bringing you more of the same. So, like attracts like. Negativity brings more negativity. And positivity, well, you get the idea.
It’s never been more clear to me at this place in my life that I create and control my happiness. Living the HSFT mantra and the brand that I created has brought me to a deeper place of understanding about really being present and mindful enough every day to enjoy and be grateful.
For me, it has proved to be powerful and palpable. And a little bit magical. And that’s been the beauty of living those four words every single day.
