HAVE SOME FUN TODAY - We already knew the “Slogan Tee” was having a moment in fashion but then there's waking up Monday morning to see pics of Reese Witherspoon in the Daily Mail, taking a jog in our grey HSFT muscle tank.
So now we're having a moment, because who doesn't love to see our 'Brand with Soul" with humble beginnings take root with people all over the world. And on a beautiful movie star. Positivity, like those four little words, is contagious. And we're not surprised Reese gets it.
HSFT is a feel good reminder to make it count today. And clearly it works for her.
Here's some of our favorite Reese-isms and words of wisdom from the feisty blonde with fabulous taste in t-shirts:
1) She knows the value of friendship
I don't know what I would have done so many times in my life if I hadn't had my girlfriends.
2) She's owns it when she makes a mistake.
I played a lawyer in a movie, so, many times I think I am a lawyer. And clearly I'm not a lawyer, because I got arrested.
3) She lives by the "Have Some Fun Today" mentality...
Many people worry so much about managing their careers, but rarely spend half that much energy managing their LIVES. I want to make my life, not just my job, the best it can be. The rest will work itself out.
4) She's all about rising above and letting it go
There are things in my life that are hard to reconcile, like divorce. Sometimes it is very difficult to make sense of how it could possibly happen. Laying blame is so easy. I don't have time for hate or negativity in my life. There's no room for it.
5) She's all about the Love
There's no bad consequence to loving fully, with all your heart.
You always gain by giving love.
And she clearly has fabulous taste in workout clothes. Thanks, Reese, for reminding us what's really important and to Have Some Fun Today.

HAVE SOME FUN TODAY - Happy Friday! We're always talkin' bout finding the FUN in every single day. What that means to each of us might be radically different, but what it means to ALL of us is simply finding a moment or two to enjoy your life! Find joy, find happiness, find FUN.
So here's our Friday FUNday list of ways to grab life by the horns and Have Some Fun Today. Any additions to the list?
1) Leave Work Early
We're gonna start with the obvious. Working for a living can suck sometimes and there's nothing like a weekend to boost your mood. If you're working from home or raising babies then knock off a wee early. Five minutes or an hour; can you start the weekend a smidge before "Closing Time"? That's FUN....
2) Happy Hour
Maybe it's meeting some work friends at the bar when you wrap the day or maybe it's a glass of rosè on your back deck while you extend the kids "screen time" long enough to enjoy. Or maybe it's both! Whatever your pleasure, kick off the weekend with a celebratory "Cheers" and let the FUN begin...
3) A Nap
Some days require a respite from the madness. And by madness we mean whatever chaos you are corralling, organizing or otherwise ignoring. You're like Wonder Woman with the magic gold cuffs, deflecting the bullets from this way and that. It's exhausting. A power nap or a nice long snooze, some times that's exactly what we need to refill the tanks.
4) Shopping Anyone?
Maybe it's the blowout at Saks Fifth Ave or maybe it's the half off sale at Goodwill. This weekend through Monday, (Aug 11th - Aug 14th) We highly recommend the Have Some Fun Today online SALE of 40% all women's tees and fleece! 5) Mother Nature
FUN can be the beauty of the Great Outdoors. The beach, the mountains, the lake, a wooded trail path. There's something restorative and grounding about finding joy from the natural beauty around us.
We get caught up in the "don't eat this" and "you must eat that" rhetoric and yes, we're all about healthy eating for a healthy life. Healthy food can be delicious. So find something delicious, heathy or otherwise, and savor every bite. Give your taste buds a party. Don't rush it or eat too fast. Just chew with intention, taste the flavor and have FUN with your Food!
Music is magic. It can shift our mood, bring us back to a place in time, make us happy, even sad. Music is transformative. So, find that one song... THE song that puts you in a place of FUN and turn it up! Sing from the top of your lungs, recite every lyric or clap your hands to every beat. Have your own mini-concert, but dammit, make it FUN.
8) Call A Friend
There's always that one friend who makes you laugh and makes your heart happy after you talk to them. You know that no matter what the subject, you're going to hang up that phone call and have a smile on your face and feel good. Yeah, call them.
We talk a lot about endorphins and improved mood when you break a sweat. But how about feeling fantastic and strong in your body. It's FUN to feel sexy, confident and strong! Get to the gym, go to a class, take a run. But sweat, baby.
Oh the places you COULD go! The World, lovelies, is a great, big beautiful place. Go see it. Nothing more FUN than exploring new places, learning new cultures and seeing something totally different than your own backyard.
11) Get A Hobby
There's that saying about Idle hands... Find something that your passionate about or that interests you and make time for it. Stamp collecting, knitting, rock climbing, thrifting. We're more interesting and FUN as people when we have something more to talk about than our families and our jobs.
12) Fall in Love
You can be happily married or sexy and single, but falling in love is something we do over and over again. Even if you're with the same person for many years. Cultivate love by doing loving things and find those little nooks and crannies of your partner that maybe you forgot. Date nights and great for re-discovering your love. And if you're single, be open of heart and new possibility. Love is out there for everyone.
13) Do Something Unexpected
You'll never know what kind of FUN you can fall into when you just pick B instead of A or just go left instead of right. There are so many different ways to choose life, each and everyday. Change is good and you have to be willing to do something out of your norm, every once in a while, and just see what happens. The possibilities are endless...
There is something about making something; food, art, music, stories. The act of creation is powerful. It returns us to ourselves when we turn ourselves over to the process of making something. Glue sticks or wooden spoons, cameras or paint brushes, it matters not what the outcome is... just create.
15) Love Yourself
This is sometimes the hardest one for all of us but the true way to find FUN in everyday is to love yourself enough to trust yourself and to believe in who you are and what your made of. There's power in loving yourself and that's when the FUN begins.
16) Go Exploring
It could be your backyard, your own hometown or a city in a faraway land. Just say yes to an adventure that includes looking for things you've never seen before. And experienced HSFT'er will tell you, the exploration is half the FUN.
When we step outside ourselves and do something for someone else, completely unprompted or without an attachment to the outcome, we find a greater joy than we can ever imagine. That's really having FUN...
18) Read A Book
There are adventures to be had in the pages or words of a book. A kindle or an actual hold-in-your-hands book is an escape from the world around us, and sometimes, that's exactly what we need.
We all have memories of fantastic, remarkable and beautiful things in our lives. Stop and remember every once and a while. Look at old pictures, call an old friend. Remembering the times we had "some fun today" is a good reminder that we're still FUN.

HAVE SOME FUN TODAY - Spring is weeks away from turning to summer and the seasonal change brings about a natural introspection and time for reflection. We're moving into the warmer, even hot weather. The sun stays around a little longer, the nights are filled with summer skin and lazy beach hair. We may take that much needed vacation. And half of 2017 is in the books. What have got left for the remaining six month of this year?
A change of season is always an invitation for a shift within and a chance to take stock of all that we have. We always love to check-in and take a gratitude check up. Cause there's always something to be grateful for.
Let's Play The Gratitude Game
Gratitude, by definition, is "the quality of being thankful; readiness to show appreciation for and to return kindness." To return kindness. Let that sit with you for a while. What it means is that gratitude is reciprocating and gratitude is a state of mind. Anyone can conjure up gratitude. Cultivating being grateful for what you have, not focusing on what you don't, is energetically and vibrationally powerful! Basically, it's life changing...
And yeah, there's even science behind it. Research says that creating gratitude and reflecting on what we are grateful for increases our well-being and happiness. Like, improves the quality of your life. Are you getting this?
Just Say Thank You
What do you have in your life that is good. It's always going to be way easier to see what you don't have, initially. But if you sit in stillness, grab a journal or even your keyboard, reflect on what is it that is purely good and positive in your life. Maybe you have to start with the basics. Like, okay a roof over my head is good. Check. But if you did a little deeper, chances are, you'll find more.
We all are in this human experience, yoked together by some very simple core principles, despite the differences and diversities of all of us. Be grateful for these commonalities we share and what binds us together as human beings. It means none of us are going it alone in this life thing, because there is certainly enough shit in the world to divide us.
Take A Shot Of Life
Have Some Fun Today is more than just four little trite words encouraging you to do shots at the bar with your friends, although be great fun. We're talking about embracing the idea of getting some joy out of life, and seeing your life with a new perspective, with the chance of something unexpected around every corner.
What does life look like if you're looking for FUN everyday? HSFT maybe means your taking a chance and taking the road less travelled because you're looking for the magic in that plain ol' day. And when you can start finding FUN in everyday, that will give you something to be grateful about.
Lead with your heart. Be grateful. Practice the HSFT mind set and there's no question the remaining half of 2017 will give you more to be grateful for.

HAVE SOME FUN TODAY - There is a theory about happiness that basically says, it's a choice. Like, you wake up every day and just simply check the box "Happy" over the one called "Unhappy". And while we do think there are always exceptions, we think this is a pretty powerful way to manifest some positivity in your life.
C'mon Get Happy
The idea is simple and operates under the premise that we all have plenty of reasons to be happy or unhappy. It's like choosing chocolate or vanilla ice cream. You just choose one. At HAVE SOME FUN TODAY, we choose happy. We make it a conscious choice every day and if we need to throw on our Original Crop Tank to remind ourselves, then hell yeah, we're always down for that.
It's Science, Baby
Your thoughts are energy! You actually create physical energetic matter when you have a thought. Physicists call it a Quantum Event. That's powerful stuff. And what we create and what we put out there attracts more of the same. Happy breeds more happy.
"Every time you think a thought, you send out that thought's specific vibration. If a thought makes you feel good, if it's a "positive" thought, it is vibrating at a higher frequency. Happiness really is a state of mind. And there are lots of ways we can get there. Here are three ways to help cultivate more of it:
1) An Attitude of Gratitude
For 30 days, write down three things a day you are grateful to have in your life. Three tangibles that you truly appreciate having. This is less about being a good person and more about being aware of positives and not all the negatives. When we start to focus on the positives as a habit, we create a new pathway for positive thoughts.
2) Work It All Out
It's been proven time and again that there's science to our workouts. Endorphins, dopamine, hormones, -all this stuff in our body chemistry shifts when we exercise and it's the stuff that makes us feel good.
3) Shiny, Happy People
Find some. Spending time with people who are generally happy and have a positive outlook is actually a huge influence on us. Positivity and good vibrations really are contagious, so surround yourself with happy people and chances are, you'll get happy, too.
Live, Love, Be Happy

In loving memory of Joe Rado, who left this earth three years ago.
HAVE SOME FUN TODAY - We believe in angels. We think they are all around us...
That's kind of where it all started for HSFT. Founder and designer Stephanie Taormina was sitting in her living room a few years ago, practicing her meditation and gratitude ritual as she did every day, when she was hit with the most vivid vision. Her father had a recently passed and she was thinking of his mantra, the "tag line" he said each time someone left or said goodbye. "Hey, have some fun today." She pondered her Dad and those four words, and how it was so representative of the loving, kind man who just wanted everyone to see the "fun" in each day.
A Company Comes To Life
And then she saw it. Stark Black and White images and letters. Pretty soon "Have Some Fun Today" was more than the words her loving father said, it was now a painting in her head. A fine art painter and studied artist, it was not unusual for her to have a clear thought or ideas for a painting. But this was different. The image was vivid and alive.
"I was in my mediation, sort of thinking, non-thinking and I got hit with that vision. And it was like, this is it. This is what it is gonna look like. And then I want to make a t-shirt. And a tote. A hat."
That vision became the painting, became the original graphic t-shirt, became the company that is today Have Some Fun Today. Those four, loving, sweet words her Dad had said every day were coming alive and manifesting in a way she never expected. He was gone but this was a part of him that would live on.
Is There Anybody Out There?
If the souls and spirits of those we love move into some other cosmic plane or ascend to the "pearly gates", isn't it possible they're still trying to connect with us? Stephanie certainly felt in that moment that her father was trying to connect with her.
Experts in every field from mediums to spiritual guides have plenty to say on the topic. And while you can always find a fair share of skepticism, you'll also find some pretty common beliefs of how those near and dear to us may choose to send us a sign.
Dreams, thoughts, nature, a felt presence, fragrance, even leaving small objects are just a few of the ways that experts think departed loved ones choose to communicate.
The Legacy Lives On
"I feel like what I'm doing everyday is my Dad. I rarely feel sad," Stephanie says. A spiritual medium told her several years later that it's because she was thinking the way her Dad would and that she is, in essence, channeling him. His thoughts and his messages are coming through her.
Her work now is an expression of that first vision she believes came from her Dad. She is inspired to share this simple yet powerful philosophy with the world. The same one he'd call out as she left the house for school or when they'd part ways from a family gathering. Have Some Fun Today.

HAVE SOME FUN TODAY - We've just shifted into a time of seasonal re-birth, all things shiny & new, and green. It's Spring! The world around us is buzzing with growth, but for some of us, 2017 still has us stuck. Maybe we've missed the boat on some of those well-intended resolutions, and we're not feeling the love of the "New Year/New You". Let's not forget we're only four months into the year and there is still plenty of time left to kick it into gear and make some positive changes.

It's known to lower stress levels, increase our attention levels, and actually alter the brain by increasing grey matter and specific brain functions. Here's the best part about meditation; it's a powerful tool that is accessible to anyone and it doesn't cost a thing. Start in a comfortable space. Close your eyes. Begin by focusing on your breathing. You don't need to sit there for hours, just start with five minutes. You'll be amazed at how quickly it goes. You can find some very cool resources on line for meditation like this one at UCLA Mindfulness Awareness Research Center where you can download several different guided mediations to get you started.
2) Develop A Ritual
Forming a new habit can be as challenging as breaking a bad one but a ritual goes one step further. Blogger Daisy from Simplicity Relished describes it as this, "Rituals are simply habits imbued with meaning..." The beautiful thing about infusing rituals into our life is how they give us a go-to familiarity that is like a rhythmic touchstone in our day. Maybe you already have a ritual; morning mediation, 3-mile run, prayer, journaling time at night, a walk in nature. Whether you know it or not, you may have already carved out your own, but a ritual is personal and it's something you do for you.

"It's always good every morning to take some time before you start your day. I like to do my runes, they're really amazing. They are these very old Viking symbols and they are these little discs have symbols on them. So every morning I like to come here and say thanks and regroup my thoughts and my goals. So you kinda think about the things you are grateful for, and the people that you love, and the things you need to do in a day to thrive. It's a journey."
3) The Power of Positive Thinking (And a Fab t-shirt To Remind You)
There is no shortage of negativity in our world; your own personal world and the great big one we live in. We get bombarded pretty frequently with negative thoughts, actions, events, or even others, in the course of day. It can be overwhelming and difficult not to feel the effects of all those negative vibrations. We're pretty good at filling our own heads with negativity already. And then there's what exists around us every day.
That's when you have to just STOP. Remove the source of negativity. Don't read the news or scroll through Facebook if it upsets you. Don't take that call from a friend if it's more negativity.

There really is a great, big, beautiful world out there full of pretty amazing people. Choose Positive! Choose that world and choose FUN over the "everything is going to hell" mentality.
