One of my favorite places to be and where I spend half my time is New York City. I moved to NYC when I graduated from Penn State University and have maintained a love affair with the city ever since.
New York City, often called "The Big Apple," is a place where you can truly have some fun today and every day. With its dynamic neighborhoods, iconic landmarks, and endless opportunities, the city that never sleeps has something for everyone, whether you're on a budget or looking to splurge. Let's explore five exciting activities to enjoy in the city:
1. Central Park Stroll (Free):
Central Park is a tranquil oasis amidst the urban jungle. Take a leisurely stroll through the park, and you'll find a variety of free activities, such as picnicking, people-watching, and enjoying street performances. Don't forget to check out iconic spots like Bethesda Terrace, Strawberry Fields, and the Central Park Zoo.

3. Museum Hopping (Free/Paid):
One of my personal favorite things to do is to visit the many art museums in the city. New York City is home to some of the world's most renowned museums. The Metropolitan Museum of Art, often referred to as "The Met," has a recommended admission fee, but you can pay what you wish. The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) offers free admission on Friday evenings. I also love The Whitney in the Meatpacking district & The Guggenheim on the upper east side. Explore art, culture, and history at your own pace.

4. High Line Park (Free):
Right in my Chelsea neighborhood is another favorite - The High Line is a unique urban park built on an old railway line. This elevated green space provides a refreshing break from the bustling city streets. You can walk along beautifully landscaped gardens, enjoy public art installations, and take in fantastic views of the city's architecture. It literally is a breath of fresh air in this urban jungle,
